CAPSTONE RESOURCES
I make the Capstone Project worth 50% of the CLC 12 course grade, which reflects its completion required for Graduation (i.e. if the student doesn't pass Capstone, they'll still have a classroom context to redo it for Graduation). That 50% is split into 4 equal parts (12.5% each): (1) Process Journal, (2) Exhibition, (3) Final Product, (4) Reflection Report.
Here are a number of documents that I've created/pieced together for the delivery of the Capstone project.
Capstone Work Package: This package is a guided workbook for students to work on their Capstone Projects in "chunks", starting with brainstorming, criteria building, timeline drafting, etc. Individual sections of the Work Package can be made for completion marks to incentive progress! (last updated 09/2022)
Mentor Agreement Form: Make sure your student has consent from their chosen Capstone Mentor – they should know what they're being signed up for.
Capstone Proposal Form: This is the "wrap-up"/culmination of the Work Package prep work and Mentor Agreement Form. This gives you and the student additional reassurance that they're off to a good start on their Capstone projects.
Planning Capstone Exhibition: Students can use this document to brainstorm their Capstone Exhibitions.
Capstone Reflection Report Details: This document provides a structure for students to follow for their Reflection Reports.
Capstone Mark Scheme: Here is a Mark Scheme, which splits the Capstone project into four equally-weighted parts: Process Journal, Exhibition, Final Product, Reflection Report.
