WELCOME!
Growing up between Hong Kong and Vancouver – two very multilingual and multicultural locales – I was aware from a young age of the importance of language learning, and its place in nurturing a strong cultural and social understanding.
By passive circumstance, I was raised in a multilingual family, but it was with zeal that I have pursued my interest in languages, personally and academically. I encourage the same interest in the generations that follow! I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a B.A. in French and Asian Studies. I then also studied at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, where I learnt Sanskrit and gained an insight into Francophone South Asian studies, in addition to the regular French language and literature coursework. I returned to UBC to complete my B.Ed., specializing in Secondary French and the IB Middle Years Programme. Since September 2021, I have been at Princess Margaret Secondary School (Surrey, BC), teaching Core French, Spanish and Career Education. |
